Drainage Services
Culvert Installation and Replacement
A culvert is a pipe or structure that allows water to flow under a road or trail. Creeks and driveways are two examples of where culverts are used.
Damaged culverts restrict and sometimes entirely stop proper drainage, resulting in flooding. We can handle new culvert installations, especially where there’s an existing ditch where a county or village requires the existing flow of rainwater not to be interrupted.
French Drain Installation
Do you have troubled spots in your yard that may be low lying and collect water? If so, a French drain may be a great option to dry up those areas faster after a harsh rainfall.
A French drain is a trench filled with gravel or rock that contains a pipe and redirects water away from an area to prevent flooding.
Down Spout Re-Routing
Down spouts are what transfers the water in your gutters during rain/snow storms down and out to ground level. In some cases, it collects in an area and causes flooding. By installing drain tile out and away from a low lying area, down spouts help keep water away from your foundation and can drastically prolong the life of your sump pump.
Sump Pump Re-Routing
Sump pump discharge lines can often cause excess water to pool in your yard depending on the water table in your area and grades surrounding you.
We offer the service of installing drain tile buried in your yard to divert the water out, allowing it to bleed out underground which solves the issue of concentrated wet areas.
Swales
A swale is a small shallow ditch that’s excavated and used to divert water. For example, it can be used in front of a property to control run off from a nearby road to keep your front yard from flooding. Swales can also be used between houses to help drain water runoff and divert to back or front of property into a creek or storm water sewer.
